Where the district's residents decide
Not a town-hall meeting, not a vote, not an opinion poll. Randomly selected residents work together over a single weekend, with expert support, to develop an answer to one specific question.
In brief
What happens at a community meeting?
We draw a few dozen residents by lot so that they mirror the district by age, gender, education and place of residence. They receive background material on the topic, can put questions to experts, and then form a shared position together in a moderated discussion.
At the end, a written recommendation is produced, to which the decision-maker responds publicly: what will be implemented, what won't, and why not.
Next assembly: the 4th community-meeting
Expected date: 3–4 October 2026.
Venue: 400 Üllői út, 1184 Budapest — the council chamber.
The organisers want to recognise everyone's participation: participants are welcomed with a gift voucher, a gift and full catering.
