Pre-community meeting – Education day
Before participants can make meaningful decisions, they need to become well informed. At a full-day preparation event we handed over the balanced background material — participants rated it 4.8 / 5.
A community meeting is only worth something if the participants deliberate while informed. That is why, before the 2nd meeting, on 27 September 2025 we held a full-day preparation event for the participants selected by draw.
01 Why is a preparation day needed?
Everyday residents are not experts — nor do they need to be. But in order to form a well-founded position, they need shared knowledge: what is at stake, what data is available, which considerations clash. The aim of the preparation day is exactly this: everyone should start from the same foundation, well informed.
02 How did the day go?
We built the programme around three thematic blocks, complemented by eight group tasks. Participants did not just listen: in small groups, guided by maps and concrete tasks, they worked on the topic themselves, could ask questions and test their points of view against one another.

03 What followed
After the preparation day, on 11–12 October 2025, the 2nd community meeting itself convened, where participants worked out 15 proposals in five teams. The high satisfaction also confirmed what international experience shows: given the right information and time, residents are glad to take part responsibly in shared deliberation.
